Faiths In Tune Artists at Religions for Peace World Assembly in Lindau, Germany
From August 19-23, around 1000 faith leaders and interfaith delegates from around the world came together in on Lindau island in Germany for the Religions for Peace 10th World Assembly.
Under the curation and leadership of Anja Fahlenkamp, Faiths In Tune helped frame the Assembly with faith and interfaith music throughout the programme.
The Assembly's formal programme was opened, accompanied and closed with classical music from Mozart to Schubert by Eva Römisch, Katharina Hage, Leslie Riva-Ruppert and Sebastian Römisch. London-based musician and song leader Judith Silver led the Assembly delegates in daily common songs for peace. And Faiths In Tune artists Alex Jacobowitz (Jewish), Aloka and Siri Sadhana Kaur (Sikh), Andrea Claassen-Hansen and Therese Degen (Indigenous Polynesian), Indra Bahia and Jasmin Glass (Hindu), Izzy Amuw (Christian), Vincent Bonnelli (Christian) and the Sufi Centre Rabbaniyya (Muslim) added spiritual harmony to the Assembly with live music performance accompanying the entire Assembly and special moments such as the inauguration of the new Ring for Peace sculpture on Lindau island with a peace ceremony.
