Joining Women's Voices at Intersections International
On December 8 & 9 2021, Faiths In Tune Director Anja Fahlenkamp joined a virtual gathering hosted by Intersections International that celebrated stories of hope and healing from global women faith and interfaith leaders during the COVID crisis.
Faiths In Tune artists Htike Yadana, Rachel Weston and Siri Sadhana Kaur brought additional light to the event with beautiful, hopeful and healing music and dance from their respective Buddhist, Jewish and Sikh traditions.
Joining a panel moderated by Intersections International's Rachel McCave with faith leaders and women activists Rachel McCave from the United States, Suha Nasser from Palestine, Zainab Al-Sammak from Kuwait and Rev. Brittany Juliette Hanlin from the United States, Anja shared perspectives and stories about how the pandemic has been especially hitting women in Germany hard and how Faiths In Tune hopes to strengthen women artists by giving them a stage and making them visible as faith leaders and as providers of hope.
Throughout the two days, music and dance from women artists around the world was shared to spread hope and healing. This also included beloved Faiths In Tune artists Htike Yadana, Rachel Weston and Siri Sadhana Kaur, who - in good Covid tradition - performed beautiful songs and dances honouring their respective Buddhist, Jewish and Sikh traditions right from their living rooms.
